Thanks for your input. Certainly with rings, durability becomes a much more important issue. So your comments encourage me to continue our investigation of the viability of this potential pearl treatment.

I will be certain to post if we make any breakthroughs.

I hate the idea of coatings on pearls. I want to feel my pearls when I wear them. I clean them every time I wear them as well, and I am certain I would wipe any coatings off eventually. I have some great potatos that have a really nice shine. If that disappeared I would be heartbroken.

Did anything come of that coating thing? Something 'Elisha' was working on maybe that could possibly be cross-utilized (EMC)?
