Fabulous! My dad really likes abalone pearls, so I'll show him this, he'll love it. Personally, I think that pearl in that setting, is one of the most striking pieces of jewelry that anyone could hope to own. (sigh... dream on )

Okay, how about replacing the regular "mesh", above, with a loose, irregular arrangement of gold wires, on which you peg-mount the pearls?

This would preserve the current arrangement without introducing any "framing" around the pearls.

Like miniature monkey's tails, the radiating gold wires could be looped about the neck ring.

Just another Gorgeous Natural Abalone Freeform
Found last week. They dont come much better
than this colour wise. Set in 18ct Yellow gold,
platinum and diamonds on 18ct yellow Gold
Omega.

That blue thing is quite awesome...

Isn't the blue pearl the same that appears at the leftmost end of the 'necklace' arrangement that opened this thread?

Different pearls but they do look similar.
The Pearl in the gold and diamond pendant
is bigger than the one in the necklace.
