| It would be interesting to see the fossilized coprolites carved into egg-shapes or globes and polished... I wonder what kind of coloration might be observed in person? The site mentioned "Lovely Violets, Tans and Greens..." in their descriptions I find it also rather odd that coprolites are going for so cheap... I guess paleontologists must have enough to last several lifetimes! ![]()

| This thread has been hysterical!! You are too funny Caitlin For the price of the "Raw" coprolites, labor for carving and polishing- I'd say the Elephant pearl dealers are working with an astounding margin!

| Okay, really, what the hell are these??? It says "human pearls" all right but I can't bear to read any farther. http://www.manizone.co.uk/dewa-sarir...ins-c-124.html Slraep |

| I couldn't help it!!!! I HAD to know!! Now I regret it dearly. I need to repent. "Dewa Pearls" "These are commonly known as 'Dewa' or 'Deva' pearls originating from the highly renowned and enlightened holy monks or spiritual beings. ‘Dewa’ or ‘Deva’ meaning god-like or a highly spiritual being/soul. These pearls are also referred to as ‘Sarira’, a Sanskrit term meaning body waste or decay, reiterating that these pearls are those found after cremation of the human spiritual being. The spiritual energy and god-like status which was developed by these human beings has been captured in these pearls. These pearls are formed from their chakras energies which after cremation of the holy body of the enlightened being manifested into a crystallised form to represent its high frequency. The elementals which reside in these pearls are also of high status to match that high frequency of their origin. They are known as ‘akash’ meaning ‘sky’ spirits as they have a very high spiritual status. These are therefore highly sought after by those wishing to develop their psychic abilities further and to increase their chakra energy levels to a more advance state." | The Dewa pearls are some form of calcium compound preserved from cremated remains due to the vegetarian diet of the monks. In some circles they are known as religious relics. Very sacred and some believe them to have healing properties. I personally wouldn't touch it myself.

He didn't say so but I'm guessing that it works great as preventative medicine. |

| This thread might be onto something... Not to prove that human tumors are disgusting everyone knows that already, I hope... Maybe less that guy who bought one! LOL!Just think abut it: pathological tissue and concretions produced by the human body culdn't be associated with 'pearls'. Not even remotely... Not in form, of course. Not even in function: they are not 'protective growth' that is meant to remain part of the body like pearls are. Scars fall away. Tumors and 'stones' are pathological, not supposed to be there and not tolerated by the body, let alone meant to be useful. While pearls are meant to become part of the host and be useful, not just tolerated. Couldn't say as much about human kidney stones - Yikes! Now that I'm thinking... mammal bodies do create capsules of conjunctive tissue around foreign objects embedded in harmless positions inside. Think - buckshot. I have no freakin' idea what these look like - but they aren't concretions, they'd rotten away. Aparently those capsules have the function pearls do for a mollusk. [Is it? Is there a doctor in the house?] Yuck again! How about leaving the 'bloody mess' aside returning to the beautiful biological defense mechanisms like those pearls ? ![]() Last edited by Valeria101; 10-18-2007 at 05:52 AM. |
