Hi Sueki,

I just thought the same as you wrote in your last sentence:
Power Pro drapes much better if you use heavy pearls, if you have small ones, silk feels better.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I have had no luck in getting any answers whatsoever from Superior Threads.com about the "Ceramic" Thread, GUNZE.

I have written several times but so far, nothing. If there is any other member who knows anything, please let us know.

Just finished my second necklace using Powerpro and I have to say that I'm becoming more and more impressed with Powerpro.
The gold beads and the gem beads are tiny, and the drill holes almost invisible they're so small.
Yet I knotted between each pearl and the knots sit snugly inside the gold beads.
I find the Powerpro doesn't twist when stringing, unlike silk, and is less temperamental.
Although I like the feel of silk and will use it whenever possible, I am converted to Powerpro for it's use with anything where silk just isn't suitable.
Thanks to the beaders club for the info.

Sueki, thats really gorgeous. What color are the pearls? They almost look a light green - could be just my computer.

Hi Lisamla,
Thanks. The pearls are silver-white, but have strong blue and green orient, overtones, which is what the camera picked up on.

Hi Sueki,

Your strand is beautiful - love the design! PowerPro really expands the design possibilities. What pearls did you use and what are the gem beads - tourmaline?

Sueki: I'm totally melting! That is beautiful. I vote it's blue and pink sapphire. Regardless, it's a showstopper! Bead size, please. Thanks!

Hi Sueki,

Really lovely! Sooooooo elegant, too! I too am wondering what the gems are? Are you making earrings to go with it? If so, please give us a photo of them also!

Hi Knotty and Serenity,
The beads are pink and green (blueish green) sapphires. The gold beads are, I think, 2mm. by .07mm.
The pearls are South Sea/Tahitian baroques. Sizes are 9.8mm.-10.7mm. wide by 11mm.-15.2mm. long.
Thanks for your comments - I am eternally grateful to you folks for pointing me in the direction of Powerpro.
As Serenity says, it's opened up so many possibilites for me.

Hi Pattye,
Thank you too !
Earrings, yes, when I can decide which pearls to use and also decide whether or not to use those pearls to make a bracelet.....
Does anyone else waste hours and hours deciding what looks best - this or that or t'other ?

I'm getting confused with the Gudebrod sizing ... according to calculations, size E is 0.0128mm which is 0.0005+ inches. That's smaller than the powerpro I use, and the color matches for a 6-6.5mm pearl/4mm rose quartz bracelet/necklace. Now, is that an appropriate size to use? I can't use powerpro as the knots will be too big and the pearls are probably too small for it to drape well. Is that even a good thread for this kind of bracelet/necklace?
