I have a bracelet and necklace made of the same pearls from a long time ago I just dug out of storage. What kind are they and I am trying to also find out what the possible worth is for them?

Hello there! This is my first post as I'm new to the forum. I work in antique jewellery and am interested in learning more about natural pearls....I'm wondering if anyone out there would be able to tell me anything about these pearls. They are pastel pink, peach and lilac in colour, measure 4.5 and 3.5mm, and are set in an antique Edwardian ring. Thanks, in anticipation!

Help needed with making a necklace and a bracelet.

Hi All,

I want to make a necklace and a bracelet for my little ones OT. She is in her early twenties and wears a pearl necklace, headband and earrings everyday that she says she bought from Claire's. She is tall and thin and the necklace she wears sits right on her collar bone. So what length do you think I should make the necklace and the bracelet. Is there a standard length for everyday wear? She wears pearl studs but I really wanna make her some dangle earrings. And for the necklace and bracelet should I use a spring ring clasp or a toggle clasp? Her pieces have white metal findings, so I think I will use sterling silver. I ordered some 8lb white power pro thread that should be here tomorrow, so I can get started. I wont see her again until Wednesday, so i have a few days to get it done. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me. ~d

here is the first of many to come earrings with naturals the two white pearls are Pinctada Margaritifera with a weight of 2,05 and 2.4 ct and the small pearls are abalone with a weight of 0,39 and 0,42 ct they are set in 18 ct gold with 0,10 ct diamonds

at the moment i'm planning to showcase a natural pearl collection by the end of this year so one natural pearl piece a week is now my target, i will try to post some before during and after pictures in this topic so you guys can see how my collection will be formed :)

Hi all. I saw these online. They are definitely freshwater pearls. They do look old and are being sold as old.

Do you think they could possibly be old? By which I mean NOT cultured Chinese freshwater pearls, but something else.

I am wondering and would like to get opinions from one and all. Think of it as a game. Your wildest guesses would be appreciated.

Hi! I've been reading this forum for a few months and have learned a lot about pearls but I still can't identify the real pearls. I came across this strand of pearl necklace but am not sure if it's real cultured vintage Akoya. Could the please experts help me? I prefer vintage because I read that the nacre is much thicker and lasts longer.

another rope!!

I received my second rope from Catherine Cardellini. It is 66", 11mm-9mm and varying shades of pinks and lavender. The colours kind of fade in and out of each other. It is really subtle and beautiful and feminine. :) The first pic is both of my ropes together. :o

Any idea of where to find out its value?
Wanted to get an idea before deciding on what to do with it.
