Can anyone tell me when Mikimoto started it's "Blue Lagoon" line? I understand they're of a slightly lesser quality than top of the line Mikimoto store grade pearls. Thanks!

You might try phoning one of the Mikimoto stores (NY) for that information, or perhaps on their website you could email for that info also.

Mikimoto pearls end at A grade. Blue Lagoon starts at B grade. I couldn't find any information on the start date, but they've been around for a while. Does that help?

The best suggestion is to call the company in question - they should have the most information, since it is their product.

Blue Lagoon are decent but not great quality, Mikimoto doesn't sell them in their flagship stores, so that should say something to you.
