Hi everyone,

Not sure where to post this, but does anyone happen to know of a contact in Mexico for buying pearls? I wouldn't be able to handle much bulk, however.

Thanks in advance,
pearlnoob

If you mean Bay of Cortez pearls, then they have a shop with the pearls. I don't know how to get them with out going down there. I'll ask when I see them on Saturday AM as they just happen to be at the big Tucson Gem show this week.

Usually you you must deal with one of their authorized representatives, who usually make finished jewelry, except Care Ehret of Drusy designs on eBay. Or get to the gem show once a year.

NO other pearls except a few high priced and tiny, naturals are grown in Mexico at the moment. If anyone tells you anything different, their pearls are cultured freshwaters from China, and they are lying.

Thanks for the prompt response Caitlin - I actually live in Mexico 6 months a year so going down is not a problem I'll see if anyone here knows of them.
