| Really like it. ANd kind of wonder about its value. Could anybody give me a quick estimate? Thanks! Sorry, forgot to mention, its diameter is almost 11mm.It is perfectly round and there is no blemish to me at all. Just looks gorgeous!!! PS hi Caitlin! Last edited by feng; 11-30-2006 at 11:04 PM. |

| Please don't be mad at me. This is that last one I'm gonna post. Phew, I have to say, got tired already. Just give everyone a rough idea about their relative size and color. I started to do some study after I got these necklaces last month. Amazed, I found this website and realized there is so much to learn about pearls. They are so beatiful and mystical, kind of spiritual to me. (English is not my first language, so please help me to correct my word usage, THANK YOU!) I really want to learn more about pearls so I registered this forum and hope to make friends and 'steal' more knowledge particularly of pearls here! ^_^ Last edited by feng; 11-30-2006 at 10:51 PM. |

| Hi Feng, I like your freshwater cultured pearl strands and suspect the pendant of being a shell pearl. You will hopefully wear them and enjoy them. Valuing Chinese freshwater cultured pearls in the current market is tricky business because they are not fully recognized for what they really are. Currently one can build up a wonderful wardrobe of Chinese freshwater cultured pearls of outstanding and lasting quality for very little money. I do not think that this situation will last. This is a point in time where one should be on the buying end of the market rather than the selling end. Also, please note that the value of your pearls can differ greatly depending on where you are. I would not sell them if I were you and thus the question of value is irrelevant. If you think you have to sell them, please consider that the prices for second-hand cultured pearls are so low that you might as well keep them until Chinese freshwater cultured pearls have earned the position in the jewelry market they deserve.
