slraep, I don't get your post as I think it was another drive by testimonial for Premiumpearl.com.

Funny how the only good reports come from members who make 1 post and never return

Hi Kevin,

I was being sarcasctic(what else?) . I know it was another plug for Premium but it struck me as being unbelievably persistent on their part.

A "drive-by" testimonial---that's funny(heheheh).

In my opinion that last message is spam. It was a first posting advertising a site. Right?

I usually delete posts like that. Just because the ad is served up with a higher level of finesse doesn't mean that its sole purpose wasn't touting the site. Sorry for the double negative.

ah ok, the whole pure pearls part of your comment threw me off - gotcha now .

And yes I just coined the phrase "Drive By Testimonial", copyright pending.

I agree that maybe not all experiences are 100% satisfying but seriuosly is it ever 100% satisfying anywhere?????

I respect everyone's opinion and I found this thread to be very interesting and I just felt to speak up, because I did have a good experience!!!

I have purchased from Premium Pearl lately, the classic Akoya Pearl Bracelet made an excellent present for my mother's birthday. She absolutely loved it and it was very reasonably priced. it arrived on time and the people that I spoke to there were very helpful. I would definitely recommend Premium Pearl and use them in the future. Try them out, it's worth it!!! ENJOY

Hi Val
It is so weird that this thread is nothing but strangers (you and brian) advertising Premium pearls. Don't you think so? I checked out your four posts and the only thing you have to say to us is to defend premium pearls. That is a very uncommon approach to bring here as most newbies have questions not testimonials.

It is an entirely gratuitous testimonial- I doubt you are an innocent customer of theirs. If you were, you would have noticed what the others have to say about premium pearls- that they are cutthroat business people who utilize unethical ploys.

This is not even about the pearls but about their practices.

Val and Amanda are "both" new members of the forum that have just come here to share their experiences about PremiumPearl.com.

Val and Amanda "both" have the exact same IP address, 72.89.111.185. This person is indeed a shill.

Isn't that unethical too? Using two identities for testimonials?
So val and amanda are sock puppets turned loose over here to mindlessly repeat their bland testimonials- ignoring totally that our concerns are not so much with the Pearl quality (though some have complained about that too- it is about their business practices.

Re-read this:
Quote:
The things I noticed most importantly is in their guarantee section. They have a sentence that says they use a strict pearl grading system recommended by the GIA. This is big red flag because this is a lie. The GIA does not recommend any grading system, and there is no way they would recommend a AAA+ and especially not even call it perfect.
The GIA grading class gives value factors of pearls when assessing value. I guess the sentence that premiumpearl.com uses could be construed as assessing the value factors of a pearl, but they do not even use the actual value factors assigned by the GIA in their graph. I would really suggest you bring this up when considering a sale.
WE have two threads going with discussions of Premuim pearls
Or how about this:
Quote:
Quote:
premiumpearl is successful in ripping off American Pearl concept and strategy and branding but failed to deliver a pearl that is truly higher luster and thicker nacre. Not only do I question their business tactics, I question their pearl quality.
Shall I continue? All in all premium pearls is coming off worse and worse. They use sock puppets to try to balance the negative comments about their quality, but the sock puppets do not respond to the allegations of unethical practrices......Sock puppets in and of themselves are unethical and foolish.

This forum is read by the high and mighty in the pearl world as well as by the ordinary customer- so premium pearl should just shut up and use only great business practices, or else they will continue to dirty themselves in many peoples' eyes.

Amanda, Val, whatever your name is...

You have to realize that breaking the forum rules and policies does not help PremiumPearl's reputation here. You have created multiple accounts to shill the forum, which is in direct violation of the forum's rules of conduct. I saw the "amanda" account be created with the same IP address while "Val" was posting. I allowed "Amanda" to post just to be 100% certain that you are a shill for PremiumPearl.

Oh, and the names chosen... "Amanda", "Val"... very funny. The president of Pure Pearls and the ex-VP of Pearl Paradise. What will the next account name be? Kevin? Cailtin? How about Zeide? That one is open.

Ah, the truth will out.
"they will continue to dirty themselves in many peoples' eyes."
Well I for one will not be buying from them after reading here.

Ha Ha ha yeah, use Zeide's name. That one is definitely open.

If you sock puppets read this forum instead of just posting drive by testimonials, you would understand that joke!

I was re-reading this threead. It began in April 2005 and has been resurrected a couple of times. Preemperl should hope that this thread just dies and goes away with no more resurrections.

What has happened is that it has turned into a thread praising Amanda and Pure Pearls over a 2 1/2 year period. People clearly love her and her pearls meet, if not exceed, expectations. The testimonials are spontaneous sounding and not formulaic.

If you look at Amanda's posts here, you will pick up her graciousness and quietly knowledgeable presence. I do not know Amamda, except through her writing here; I am not her customer -nor she mine, but I cannot help but be impresssed with her loyal customers! If I were a stranger who had googled prem-perls.com and this thread came up and I read it, I would ditch pre-per go look at Amanda's pearls.....

*******
Now if Preeyum-peaarl had not been ruthless in apparently stealing American's Pearl's advertising campaign (It makes as much sense as using - A Pearl is Forever and taking on DeBeers)-- or apparently stupid in saying their pearls were graded by GIA standards and they were selling AAA+- If so, they can not expect to build respect or a good reputation in the pearl community.

Do they think they operate in a vacuum? Don't they understand that pearls is a community and everybody checks out the competition? Don't you think they notice when someone uses another person's photos or even advertising campaign? This company's behaviors seem to indicate that there is a shortsightness operating here. Like the business does not care that it creates the impression that it is the pearl equivalent of a dollar store.

I could tell you a few speculations about these guys that come to mind, but I won't.
