Origin of this Mabé?

Hi Pearl Experts!

Here is a ring with what looks like a mabé. Can anyone help me with the possible origin of this half pearl?

I have a similar mabe pearl and also wonder what can it be.
It is from Legend Blue, bought long ago. Here http://www.legendblue.com/page.jsp?s=&p=1006

It looks a bit strange for a Mabe although no doubt that it is real.

There's definitely a hallmark, but I haven't asked what it is yet.

if you can describe it - and it is a Hallmark as against any maker's etc mark (which, I keep banging on in a totally irritatingly pedantic way, is not a Hallmark) then details of the origins of the metal will be easily tracked down.

I don't know but I really like it. The bezel setting on it is very nice.
