They´re really beautiful... To me it always seems that rounder tahitians have more colour than baroque ones, but I think someone here said that it´s actually the circled ones that have the most colour?

Beautiful blacks... and everything else...

Any chance hose re little air bubbles escaping from submerged Tahitian pearls in the first photo? ;)

How did you manage to gather the pearls for the color-graduated freshwater strand?

The last gray necklace looks very interesting. How large are the pearls in it? (approx. since they are not symmetrical)

Oh, please tell me about the rings--did you make them yourself? Are those cast mountings? Are the pearls set on pegs?

Hi Ivona - than you for sharing your photos. I DO have a favourite - the gorgeous akoya and mixed SS piece - I am dreaming about making a multistrand necklace similar to that. Is the metal WG or sterling silver? The earrings are all lovely, the freshies fabulous, the bracelets beautiful, but, like Pattye, I really want to know more about the rings - they are fantastic!

I love your earrings, especially the ones with coin pearls (9.jpg). It would be quite a daily challenge for me if I had to choose which one of these gorgeous pieces to wear.

What a treat! It looked like the pearls were in water, then I saw air bubbles. That's a great way to get the color to show. I loooove the mixed pearl necklace and the shaded strand. You are so talented! ;)

Agree with Gemgeek, you are indeed very talented.
And, if I had to choose, I'd say the black pearls and the shaded rope.
I've got a shaded rope here that's almost complete.
It's been ages putting it together....
But I really do love them all Ivona.

>>>>>I read somewhere here about making photos of pearls submerged in water - I did try to do it ...air bubbles are the proof....:)
How did you manage to gather the pearls for the color-graduated freshwater strand?
>>>two strands of mixed purples and so called "pinks" arranged differently - that's all - pearls from ebay-from""incompac" @ 30$ strand 9-10mm, very, very nice for the price...

so many pearls, so little time
>>> two purple biwas it's silver wire ( bigger one is mounted on ring base that I could glue pearl on. The "froggy" it's "druzy" pearls in silver mounting bought from Dottie's Rocks (http://stores.ebay.ca/id=6367751&ssPageName=STRK:MEFS:MESST). It was freshly made yesterday, I still had to wait for glue to dry to be able to clean the ring from "spills" of it... The silver SS (12.4mm -button) - design that I based on what I saw somewhere here, set in 14k white gold with Tanzanite on the side. I had my jeweler do this one...

An amazing assortment of beautiful pearls...I can't decide between them all.
I LOVE the first ring and how the setting seems to embrace that fabulous pearl! I am new what kind of pearl would that be?

And the Vietnamese Akoyas necklace looks like sea foam made of pearls...spectacular on you.

Thank you for sharing them.

Thank you for the complement.
I use Canon PowerShot IS5. Manual settings ( I fiddle a lot with settings, but always in manual mode using little tripod (gorillapod-I love this thing !!), super macro mostly, daylight ( no direct sunlight). I don't Photoshop - still did not learn how....)

Hi Ivona,

What creativity! And versatility! Lots of great looks possible, I especially love the frog broach. those big clip rings are similar to what I use to make a torsade out of long continuous ropes. THANK YOU for showing the neck shots too! Are the pearls fw? And purpley colors?

Pattye

Hi Ivona,

Pattye

yes & yes.... those purple FW are my weakens. I always look for the darkest & shiniest - shapes are secondary. All those strands are made of pearls like that: 8-9mm potato, 6-7 almost round( 5 strands - those are the nicest with lots of blue & green in them), 8-9 oval ans 4-5 almost round.
Thanks for looking...

Imanit,
I love how you allow the pearls to show off individually and also be together on strands that flow with such harmony . . . your strands look natural/native/ unpretentious . . . yet so elegant and sophisticated. Wow !
