These guys were great! I bought a hank of violet blue pearls. They are in the Care Ehret post as a background, but the light makes the color all wrong.

Anyway, here is a pictorial visit to share with you...

These were fluttery pearls that were second-growth from the pockets that formerly held stars, so they're kind of like cornflake keshis with star tails...

Yummy drops...

Rosebud or druzy pearls...

This second photo had some lovely circle' golden south sea pearls. I don't see much of this type because they're getting too good. ;)

Colorful pillowy stars...

Notice that leaving the brownish coating on the pearls is in style now....

That's it for now. Who knows how long my battery will last? And the people walking by think I'm strange for computing in my car! ;)

I got away with the photos partly because I asked permission from the owners, but most shows expressly forbid photography, so I'm not sure if I'll get away with it when I go to AGTA on Thursday. I'll be in conferences until Thursday, so that's all the news from Blaire.;)

Great photos. I am so trained I didn't even ask about photos. All the rules for all shows say NO, NO NO! Except Tom asked us to take some. Pattye's camera's macro was blurry, so I have to remember to bring mine. I think the AGTA and the GLDA are the strictest.

I will say US Pearl has the most saturated colors and their pearls are round, say compared to Pearllunar. They cost a fair amount too. They have three booths. I forgot about the one in the Pavillion. Their main booth is at the Dayz Inn up the road from the Riverpark Inn a bit. they will also be at the GLDA.

Hi Blaire,

LOL, I think you almost gave me a heartattack. I didn't read your first post so carefully and thought the pics were going to be of your purchases. As I scanned post the first post, the thought "Oh my God" went through my head. After several posts it became clear to me that these must be stock photos. LOL I really thought you were clearing out the booths for a second. Beautiful pictures. I love the circled SS ones...so lovely.

WOW, Blaire. I feel like I have been there, right next to you. You have missed your calling. I think you would make a fabulous Photo journalist!
I am glad I don't have a pearl business. I could never part with anything!

Hi Guys! I got a kick out of reading your comments. I sure wish I could have all those pearls!!!;)

I went back today to do some last minute stuff and I stopped by to get a photo of the charming gentlemen that were working the booth. Well....I immediately forgot their names - darn it! Maybe they will post and introduce themselves.

One is a pearl designer and he was matching big baroques while I was there...

You'll have to tilt your head to see the last one!

They shade from one end to the other.

I tried to get a better photo of the hank of lavender pearls, but they are hard to capture. One thing I did notice, is how much the color varies from strand to strand. Their designer said that there was one great strand waiting to be separated out from the nine I have. It might be time for me to try my hand at pearl matching!

What do you think -- should I try it?

Hi Gemgeek,
Your hand looks like it is bathing in lavender pearls. They are lovely. There looks like some very nice pearls in there for you to pick out. I can't wait to see your "hand picked" necklace when you are finished. Be sure to show us!

Thanks so much for the photos. Blaire,
Just everything is absolutely gorgeous - but I confess to being transfixed on that ring of yours....
