Not long ago, a fisherman beside Jiuzhou River,Lianjiang, Zhanjiang caught a natural saltwater pearl oyster in which contained three natural lustrous pearls under deep waters of Beibu Gulf, the biggest one weights 10.50gs, its color is white transparent, brilliant, shape looks like map of China, also called “Chicken Pearl”,but I would love to call it "Sheep Pearl", it looks more like a head of a sheep.
Having been inspected by jewelry experts, the three pearls are undoubtedly natural Akoya ones. In 1890s’ ,Emperor’s wife Cixi Taihou in Qing Dynasty was bestowed upon the biggest pearl, its weight is only 8.60gs, the big bright pearl born in a coconut in Hainan is 8gs or so, thus proving that this pearl is the heaviest natural Akoya pearl in the world, king of pearls all over the world.
Pearls have been called jewelry from ancient times to today. Pearls have been the sacrifice gift from local officials for the emperors and queens. This pearl is the most precious jewelry ever found in the world.
I would like to send related pictures by email to anyone who demands.
