I agree completely. You should be able to ship it back to American Pearl on their FedEx number and get a full refund on your shipping and purchase price. You were not at fault in this case. If they do not want to do that for you there is the option of a charge back with your credit card company. Vendors really hate these because they take so much time to deal with. I am not saying this is the first option but it would not hurt to mention it when you email them.

The fact is you had your heart set on a particular strand and it was presented to you as the exact strand. It is not one that can be reproduced easily (which is why all online sellers of Tahitians use unique photos) and was advertised as the piece in the photo. You are at no fault in this and the credit card company would almost certainly rule in your favor.

On another note, if American Pearl is using stock photos maybe you can check if they still have that particular strand in stock.
