I've read somewhere that the Vietnamese have been culturing Akoya using the Lamprotula- which makes sense from a cost standpoint, but I haven't been able to find any verification... I guess you're correct- it must all be just fantaZ (wait a minute- Jer was that a double entendre?? I can't believe I missed that!
