. I always thought there was no doubt the pearls were one and the same without the portrait evidence. Now this description says differently. Interesting. Another pearly mystery? As a side note, the hem of her bodice appears to be trimmed in black pearls and the cuffs in white. I wonder if that's accurate as well.
