| Those pearls look like our "older" lots of pearls. In our early years we produced many pearls -lighter colored- that looked very much like the ones in the photo. How big are they?
Try using a UV lamp on them...change the wavelength and see if they turn pink to red. You could have bought a pair of 1997-1999 Cortez Cultured Pearls.
Wow...would love to know where some specimens are today.
