| If you are out shopping and find the perfect strand but don't know how many strands to purchase, this is a good gauge:
7 x 3MM beads = 1 inch
4 x 6MM beads = 1 inch
5 X 5MM beads = 1 inch
6 x 4MM beads = 1 inch
3 x 7MM beads = 1 inch
See the pattern? It's not an exact science, but it keeps you from purchasing too many or too little beads for your design.
